CNAR 2022: Post-Fiona Update

Updated: Mar 29, 2023

As Fiona battered the East Coast last weekend, many Maritimers were devastated by high winds, rain, and uprooted trees. Our heart goes out to those who lost or suffered damage to their homes, vehicles, and still remain without power in the wake of the storm. Our number one concern is the health and well-being of all those who were impacted in Atlantic Canada and Eastern Quebec. We also understand that delegates who have booked flights and solidified plans to attend CNAR in Charlottetown may be wondering about the status of our in-person Conference. We want to assure you that we have received confirmation from our host venue that CNAR 2022 is on track to take place as planned. Although a great deal of clean up is ahead for Canada's smallest province, the Delta Prince Edward is intact, air and bridge transportation are running, and we are confident our first Conference in Charlottetown will show visitors firsthand the resilience, strength, sense of community, and mighty spirit of Islanders. In the meantime, our thoughts are with all those in Atlantic Canada dealing with the fallout from the storm. Best regards, Alyson Gaffney, Executive Director
